Member for Deh Cho
Ronald J. Bonnetrouge was elected to the 19th Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly as the Member representing Deh Cho.
Mr. Bonnetrouge was born in Fort Providence, NT, where he currently resides.
After attending Sir John Franklin High School in Yellowknife, NT, Mr. Bonnetrouge attended Aurora College where he graduated from the Management Studies Diploma program.
Mr. Bonnetrouge was the Chief of the Deh Gàh Got’ı̨ę First Nation from 2000 to 2001 and as a Hamlet Councilor with the Fort Providence Hamlet Council from January to September 2019.
Mr. Bonnetrouge worked at the Fort Providence Local Housing Association as a Journeyman Maintainer for approximately 10 years. He also worked for Public Works and Services in Hay River as a Projects Officer for 11 years.
Mr. Bonnetrouge enjoys hockey, photography, woodworking, and fastball. He also volunteers as a hockey coach.
Mr. Bonnetrouge has a common-law spouse, four children, and seven grandchildren.
